Veteran Publisher Editor of the Huntington Herald Newspaper Dead At 84
Jackie Arnold Kunkel, 84, former publisher of the Huntington Herald newspaper passed away January 22, 2018 at her residence in Huntington, Texas after a long battle with cancer. Jackie was born October 25, 1933 in Clovis, New Mexico. For nearly 30 years now, she has made Huntington her home.
Jackie owned and operated the Huntington Herald newspaper for more than 25 years before handing the reins of operation over ten years ago to her daughter, Karolyn Klaes. She was a strong woman with a driving force for getting things done. She will be remembered for her devotion to her adopted home town of Huntington, its people and the surrounding community. All have suffered a great loss with the passing of this lady. She will be greatly missed.
