Rozalinn Runnels Wins Say What! Competition

Zavalla Student Wins Texas Say What! Competition Congratulations to Zavalla High School freshman Rozalinn Runnels for being chosen for the Texas Say What! Organization. Rozalinn had to do a written application and a video explaining her concerns with adolescent tobacco use and was chosen out of over 900 applicants.

Say What! stands for Students, Adults and Youth Working Hard Against Tobacco and was created by Texas youth to connect everyone working towards reducing tobacco use throughout the Lone Star State. Youth leaders saw a need to unify the various, and typically disconnected, tobacco prevention efforts statewide aimed at protecting Texans from the harmful effects of tobacco.

The Say What! movement provides an umbrella organization to connect, learn, share and inspire others to make a positive difference in their schools and communities!

Rozalinn will represent Zavalla ISD in the Say What! Fall conference in Spicewood, Texas, Sept 30-October 3. Congratulations Rozalinn! we are very proud of you!
