2012 Huntington Graduate Promoted In the
Angelina County Sheriff’s

It is with pleasure to announce that Sheriff Greg Sanches of the Angelina County Sheriff’s Department promoted a past graduate of Huntington High School. Deputy AJ Noel was promoted by Sheriff Sanches to the rank of Sergeant in a ceremony held on October 5, 2018 with family and friends all present.
Sergeant AJ Noel has been a dedicated law enforcement officer with the Angelina County Sheriff Department for two years. He is a local boy, graduating from Huntington High School in 2012. He is the son of Gary and Susan Noel; grandson of Joe and the late Nita Noel of Homer and Rich and Mary Burns of Huntington. In May of this year, Sergeant AJ Noel married his high school sweetheart, Linzey Vaughn.
Family and friends are all very proud of Sergeant Noel’s accomplishments with the Sheriff Department and wish him the best in his new job. Sergeant Noel is an excellent example of showing that with a lot of hard work and dedication, one can accomplish anything that they set their mind to do.
